Furry Tales

Policy Agreement

I do hereby entrust my pet(s) to Furry Tales Mobile Pet Grooming for the purpose of grooming my pet(s).  I am aware that all due care will be taken with my pet(s) for the safety of pet and groomer.  Sometimes grooming can expose or exacerbate a hidden preexisting condition.  Furry Tales will report any findings to owner at time of groom.  Furry Tales cannot diagnose a condition, but may advise you to seek veterinary attention.

If your pet has any medical problems, Furry Tales asks to be made aware of them so that the groomer may take any necessary steps needed to make your pet comfortable.

 I am aware that neglect of my pet’s coat can be a cause for problems after grooming such as clipper/brush irritation.  If my pet is wiggly or does not remain still during the grooming procedure, accidents can happen such as nicks from clippers or scissors.  I am aware that if my pet’s coat is matted my options are:

  1. I will brush the coat out and Groomer will return at a later date and I will incur a $30 fuel fee as fuel was expended to come to my location.
  2. Groomer will de-mat my pet at $1.00 per minute (minimum $15) in addition to the regular groom fee.  After 15 minutes, groomer will discontinue de-mat session for the comfort of pet, de-mat complete or not.
  3. My pet will receive a wet clip or a shave down and start over.

In the event I need to cancel my appointment a 24 hour notice prior to my appointment will be made.  Leaving a message on the Furry Tales voice mail is fine.

Cancellations may occur at any time by Furry Tales Mobile Pet Grooming due to weather conditions, equipment failure, etc.  Every effort will be made to contact you should this happen.

Payment:  Cash or check is accepted.  Payment is due when services are rendered.  No debit or credit cards are accepted at this time.  There will be a $25 non-sufficient funds/returned check fee.

Melissa Mensing / Furry Tales Mobile Pet Grooming has the right to refuse service.  In the event of a pet she can NOT safely handle.  Grooming services can be stopped mid-groom if necessary for the safety of my pet or groomer and I understand that I will pay a minimum of a $25 fuel fee.

I agree Furry Tales Mobile Pet Grooming will not be held responsible for damages to my yard, home or property while on the service call for grooming my pet.  As the owner or caregiver, I authorize Furry Tales Mobile Pet Grooming to perform scheduled grooming appointments while I am away from home or property.  In the case where a key is left or given to my home, Furry Tales Mobile Pet Grooming, it’s Owner(s) or Employee(s) will not be held responsible for any damages or theft to my property.  I will sign an invoice/work order each time my pet is groomed as requested, and I will leave a note with my signed authorization for grooming should I not be home. 

 *Please Note:  Because the Furry Tales mobile grooming rig is large, Furry Tales will usually try to park along the curb in front of your residence, rather than in your driveway, thus eliminating the need to back up out of your driveway.

I, the undersigned, have read, do understand, and hereby agree to the above terms for the grooming and maintenance of my pet, and inconsideration of the grooming services of Furry Tales Mobile Pet Grooming, It’s Owner(s) or Employee(s) agree to Hold Harmless from damage, loss or claims arising from any known or unknown pre-existing condition of my pet.  The terms, special services or handling shall include but are not limited to veterinarian emergency services in the event I am not available.

 I authorize Furry Tales Mobile Pet Grooming, its Owner(s) or Employee(s) to act as my agent in the event emergency veterinarian services, boarding, care-taking, and/or transportation is necessary and I agree to pay all costs.  Any and all damages, loss, or claim shall include, but not be limited to, death, injury, or shock.  Said pre-existing conditions shall not be limited to advanced age, extreme nervousness, neurosis, illness, previous injury, skin or coat conditions, or mental conditions.

I have read and understand my rights and obligations as written in this agreement for the services of pet grooming through Furry Tales Mobile Pet Grooming, its Owner(s), or Employee(s).
